This Privacy Policy describes how Restore Old Photos collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the service.

1. Scope

This policy applies to data processing activities related to photo restoration, history records, advertising, analytics, attribution, and in-app purchases in Restore Old Photos.

2.1 Data You Provide

Restoration service data Photos you upload for restoration, task parameters such as renew or preserve, and task metadata including status and timestamps.
No traditional registration data required Core features do not require a conventional user account with your name, telephone number, or email address.

  • Device information such as device model, operating system, and app version
  • App-generated identifiers and tokens used for device-based initialization
  • Network and request information, including IP address and basic request logs
  • Usage, crash, and performance diagnostics

2.3 Permissions

  • Photo library and camera permissions used to select or capture photos
  • Tracking authorization on iOS where required for attribution or advertising

3. How We Use Data

  • To create and process photo restoration tasks
  • To return restoration results and display task history
  • To improve application stability, performance, and diagnostics
  • To measure installs, feature usage, attribution, and ad effectiveness
  • To infer approximate region for feature availability, including ad-supported experiences
  • To complete purchases through platform billing tools
  • To prevent abuse, fraud, and attacks on the service

4. Photo Processing and Retention

4.1 Processing Flow

  1. Your selected photo is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend service at api.aimiao365.com.
  2. A restoration task is created using the selected parameters.
  3. The server processes the photo and returns the result to the application.
  4. The application may display the result in comparison views and history.

4.2 First-Time Consent Dialog

Before the first upload, the application presents a data usage notice explaining what data is sent, where it is sent, and for what purpose it is processed. You must confirm agreement to the Terms of Service and acknowledge this Privacy Policy before a restoration task begins.

4.3 Retention and Deletion

  • Source photos and restored outputs are encrypted on the server and automatically permanently deleted within 7 days.
  • Deleting history entries in the application deletes the corresponding server-side records.
  • Files you save locally remain under your control.

4.4 Third-Party AI Sharing

We do not share your photo content with third-party AI model providers for restoration processing. Restoration processing is completed on our own secure servers.

4.5 Data Protection Measures

  • Encryption before upload where supported by the application flow
  • SSL/HTTPS encryption for data in transit
  • Industry-standard encryption for server-side storage
  • HMAC-SHA256 request signing and authentication controls
  • Access controls and isolated processing environments
  • Automated deletion of expired photo data

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate third-party services to support analytics, attribution, advertising, crash reporting, and platform billing. We do not send your photos to any third-party AI service.

6. Data Sharing

We share only the information necessary to operate the services described above, including analytics, attribution, advertising, crash diagnostics, and payments. We do not sell personal data.

We may disclose information where required to do so by law, legal process, or to protect user safety and service security.

  • Manage camera and photo permissions in system settings
  • Manage iOS tracking authorization in system settings
  • Delete task history records in the application
  • Contact us by email regarding privacy-related requests
  • Withdraw consent where the application provides that option

7.1 Device-Based Access Note

Because the application uses device-based initialization instead of a conventional account registration flow, deletion requests may require device context so that we can locate related records.

8. Children's Privacy

This application is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe such information has been provided, please contact us.

9. Cross-Border Processing

Data may be processed in regions where our infrastructure or service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to require appropriate protection under applicable law.
